Who We Are

Koru Wellness believes the very essence of community is to embrace and serve all its members. This means, as part of the Rangiora community, our doors are open to everyone.

The koru, which is often used in Māori art as a symbol of creation, is based on the shape of an unfurling fern frond. Its circular shape conveys the idea of perpetual movement, and its inward coil suggests a return to the point of origin. The koru therefore symbolises the way in which life both changes and stays the same.

Here to help you live free from pain

Director Virginia Wylaars says “Our practitioners are here to help you live free from pain. We acknowledge the significance of being entrusted with your care, and it’s this trust that motivates each of us to enhance and strengthen your wellbeing”.

Koru Wellness practitioners combine their in-depth knowledge of the body with a deep respect for its in-built capability – together, they identify treatment plans that lead to healing and rejuvenation.

Our practice sits in the heart of Rangiora in an iconic 1920s character building located at 137 Kippenberger Avenue. Our Osteopaths delight in serving this community and the wider Waimakariri district.
